This beautiful SEAT 124E was built, prepared and being raced nowadays by Roberto Barreiro from Spain and while looking like the Group 5 units that once raced in the 70´s, in truth it is a far more modified machine.
Now powered by a Naturally Aspirated 16 valve, 2.0L FIAT engine using a Butterfly Valve, while part of its chassis its spaceframed, using a BMW E36 Rear Axle and with all its bodywork made in either Reinforced Plastic, Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass.
The added performance made it impossible to keep the original transmission, using now one taken from a Suzuki Vitara (?!?). About actual numbers, not much information is known but given the parts used it is easy to deduct that we´re taking about a machine with power around 160 to 180Hp and certainly weighing less than 800Kg.
